Scott, a fifth generation California native, began his insurance career in Washington, DC in 1986. In 2001, Scott founded Greenberg, Wexler & Eig, LLC, a boutique multi-carrier life insurance firm located in Bethesda, MD, where he works with affluent and ultra-affluent individuals and families. Scott is responsible for directing the firm’s marketing efforts and focuses on working with international clients, family offices, and closely-held family businesses.

Professionally, Scott is a founding member of the Family Business Forum of Washington, DC, and past President of the Washington, DC Estate Planning Council, an honor he considers to be one of the highlights of his professional career.

Scott also devotes considerable time to charitable organizations in the Washington, D.C. area including the American Heart Association, where, in 1999, he founded and chaired the inaugural Heart's Delight fundraiser, a four-day wine tasting event. Heart's Delight Wine, now in its 26th year, has raised over $25 million to fight heart disease and stroke. Currently, Scott serves on the board of Red, White & Snow, a four-day wine-centric event in Park City, UT that raises money for the National Ability Center.

Twenty-seven years ago, Scott converted his passion for wine and writing into a weekly column for the Examiner newspaper chain. His column, “The Vine Guy” was syndicated in several markets across the country, and for 12 years, hosted the Wine of the Week segment on WTOP radio in Washington, DC. Eight years ago, Scott launched The Vine Guy podcast, featuring 30-minute interviews with winemakers, producers, collectors and personalities. He has served as a judge in several international wine competitions.

Scott and his wife Cindy share a passion for fly fishing, skiing, the Washington Capitals, and rescuing dogs. Scott recently took on the role of co-host of Cool Science Radio which airs every Thursday morning on KPCW radio – an NPR Affiliate Station - in Park City, Utah. In addition, Scott has been a participant in Leadership Park City, Class 32. And in his spare time, Scott shares his meager comedy stylings as part of the Park City Follies creative writing team.

They have three adult sons who are all off the proverbial payroll. Scott and Cindy reside in Park City, Utah with frequent hops back to DC for work and travel to various wine regions for fun.
