After spending six years as the commissioner of the Montgomery Youth Hockey Association, where all three of his sons played ice hockey through high school, Scott is now a happy spectator at Washington Capitals games. Fourteen years ago, Scott converted his passion for wine and writing into a weekly column for the Examiner newspaper chain. His column, “The Vine Guy” was syndicated in several markets across the country. Today, he writes for The Tasting Panel magazine – a well-respected trade publication – and can be heard every Friday afternoon as the host of WTOP radio’s Wine of the Week.

In addition to collecting wine, Scott and his wife, Cindy, a radiation oncologist, share a passion for travel, fly fishing, skiing, rescuing Labrador retrievers and the Washington Capitals. They have three sons and reside in Potomac, MD.
