David Wexler, CLU, ChFC, AEP®
David A. Wexler, CLU, ChFC, AEP® started his life insurance career as an agent for the Home Life Insurance Company of New York in Denver, Colorado. He has also worked as an advanced underwriter and trainer for the Equitable Life Insurance Society of the United States, the Executive Compensation Group, Inc. and The Wallace Financial Group. From 1989 to 2001, David worked at the Holleman Companies. In 2001, David joined Scott Greenberg and Keith Eig to begin Greenberg, Wexler, & Eig, LLC.
David is a recognized technical authority on the use of life insurance in personal financial security/risk management, business succession planning, executive benefits, and estate planning. He has served as an expert witness in two trials, and has been a main platform speaker at the American Society of Pension Actuaries and several M Financial Group marketing meetings. David has been a guest lecturer at the George Washington School of Law and the Georgetown University Law Center LLM program on life insurance in estate planning. He has published numerous articles in industry and trade journals.
David has been featured in Washingtonian Magazine as part of an article titled “They Know Money” which identifies Top Money Advisors in 2010 and 2012. David has also been selected as a Top Financial Professional in Northern Virginia Magazine in 2011, 2012 1nd 2013.
David is a member of AALU, NAIFA, the American Society of Financial Services Professionals, and the Washington, D.C. Estate Planning Council. David is an AALU Ambassador and currently serves on the AALU Ambassador Program committee. He is a past president of the Washington, D.C. Estate Planning Council, served as chairman of the Estate Journal Club of the Suburban Hospital Foundation, a Trustee and Finance Chair of the Suburban Hospital Foundation and has organized and successfully promoted several charity golf tournaments for these organizations.
David has one son, and along with his wife Marge, has two step daughters and three grandchildren. Some of his hobbies include travel, golf, collecting wine, cooking, collecting shells and he has sung the National Anthem at the Washington Nationals Baseball game as member of the Singing Capital Chorus.
